Alcohol Extractions
To create our alcohol extractions (tinctures although we are not legally allowed to call them that), dried herbs are combined with vodka, which acts as a strong and reliable extractor. The jars are set aside to steep for 30 days, shaken daily to keep the infusion active and well-mingled. Over time, the alcohol draws out the plant’s beneficial constituents, resulting in a potent, shelf-stable extraction that captures the essence and healing qualities of the herbs.Herbal extractions are usually taken by the dropperful, either directly under the tongue or mixed into a small amount of water, tea, or juice. A common serving is 1–2 dropperfuls, up to three times daily, though every body is unique and needs may vary. We encourage you to listen to your body and adjust as feels right.
These products are alcohol-based and should be avoided during pregnancy unless you are working with a qualified herbalist. These extractions can also be used topically and are applied just as you would an herbal-infused oil. Oils tend to be warming and if you already run hot, using alcohol extractions topically can be a great alternative.

Chamomile Extraction
Chamomile is well-known as a soothing herb, but it doesn’t act like a heavy sedative. Instead, it works by calming the nervous system, easing tension, and quieting a restless mind. This makes it a wonderful ally both day and night — during the day, it helps take the edge off stress without making you drowsy, and at bedtime, it can support gentle, natural sleep if that’s what your body needs. Chamomile is also helpful for those who wake in the night, since you can take it without worrying about needing a full eight hours of rest afterward. Chamomile is generally regarded as safe, however, some people may be allergic to it. Use with caution if you are allergic to other members of the asteraceae family. Putting a couple of drops on your wrist topically will help determine if you will have a reaction.

Manic Mind Mellower
For the Type A overachiever, this blend soothes the dragon in your head that keeps telling you to do more, be more, accomplish MORE! With chamomile to ease tension and quiet a restless mind, blue vervain to chill you the “f” out, and motherwort to calm and help you create healthy boundaries, this blend helps you just chill. People will react differently to this blend. For me, I can still get things done, I’m just not so manic about it. For some, it will relax you to the point of not really being productive. This is great at the end of your day when you really need to stop working. It is not a sleep blend so you can take it at anytime of the day.

Nightshade’s Whisper
Slip into the realm of dreams with this otherworldly blend of chamomile, hops, lavender, & mugwort. Crafted for deep rest & vivid dreaming, let the veil between worlds grow thin as Nightshade’s Whisper guides you gently into the dreamscape. One dropperful 30 minutes before bed is usually enough, however, you can take another dropperful at bedtime if sleep is really eluding you. The herbs in this blend are generally regarded safe, however, some people may be allergic to some of the herbs. Start with a low dose and work up from there. Pay attention to how you feel. Too much of this tincture can cause drowsiness the next morning. Make sure you have at least 8 hours before you need to be anywhere before taking this tincture.
